clover seed germination ?
Sorry , Folks, ...... but i tried to find this answer on the "internet" , but all the industry answers were not there.
How long does it take , on average , for "Clover Crush" , deer bait clover seeds to germinate ? We are using the seeds / plants to naturally fertilize our soil in our vegetable / herb garden. We ARE not "purists" or doctrinaire; and we live just West of Savanna, Ga. (Zone Nine, for real. ) We just want to amend the "Lunar Soil" we inherited from the previous owner of the property. He was a WWII Vet, and we loved him. But now we are trying to grow plants, and the soil is like a dessert. Thanks so much.

hi.
your description is fine & enough. your soil is lunar !!! very good.
you should soak the seeds 5 period of 8 hours !!! by 4 hours interrupt for getting oxygen.
this will take about 3 days or shorter !!!
this is better that soak in 35 centigrade water and keep this warmness if possible.
so you can plant these seeds and after 1 week or 10 days they will sprout & germinate.
if you want to sprout faster. irrigate them in earlier morning.
be successful my friend.

I just simply throw my seeds directly onto the soil. I would rather have an entire lawn of clover as it never needs mowing, insects don't bother it, it has really nice flowers in summer, and is great to walk barefoot on.
the seeds germinate in warmer soil faster so if the soil is cool and damp where you are, you might want to wait until spring when it warms some. the clover will germinate faster in warm soils.
