Why wasn't the Mentalist episode last night the one that was advertised?

I don't get it. they advertised all week how last night's episode would be the one where Jane has all the Red John suspects in one room and we find out who it is, then they show a different episode. I am confused.

    I think that it had to do with football running very late, so they showed a repeat instead of the new episode.

    Weird..the episode came on for me..I'm in Canada...

    It was pretty good....
