Can you have more than ONE Best friend?
Best, by definition is the most important, desirable, the one thing that is superlative. You have a "best" dress, best piece of jewelry, stay in the best hotel at the beach. You have dear friends, old friends, treasured friends, important friends, a group of my best friends, but have a BEST friend, can you have TWO BEST of anything Can you have two best friends, that in itself diminishes it importance. For example, your two BEST friends in different cities die (God forbid) whose funeral do you go to? Who's do you miss, who is your BEST, best friend? Help me here, this little 4 letter word has me in a relationship problem, and I am a middle aged, supposedly mature woman, who just believes that you may have many friends but only one can be called your BEST friend.

my views differ from yours actually. according to me, u can have more than one best friend, best friend is someone, you know, will be by your side always, whom you can call up anytime and say all the crap without even thinking a second.
you can be attached to more than one person at the same level.
if u think you have more than one best friend, then you really are a lucky person!!

Yes, you can have more than one best friend. I had two.
If you love something equally, then shouldn't they have the same title?
