Required jumps/things for high school cheerleading?
What jumps/stunts are REQUIRED for high school cheerleading? Like which ones do you use the most, and NEED to know?
I know for one, a backhandspring. Anything else? Like roundoffs, toe touches, fronthandsprings? Please make a list below (:
Also, how long do you think it would take to learn everything in the list you make for me?
I'm flexible,know my splits,stretch everyday.
Thanks

It really depends on the school, but here are a few things to prepare:
Jumps - Toe touch, Pike, Hurdlers (Right and left)... Also work jumps to handspring or tuck
Stunts - Prep, Extension, One legs, Twist downs
Tumbling - Standing handspring, Roundoff handspring, Jumps to tumbling, Front walkover roundoff backhandspring ... Also work tucks!
Flexibility (especially if youre a flyer) - Heel stretch, Bow and arrow, Arabesque, Scale, Scorpion, Splits
Good luck!!

Okay first of all, it takes a different amount of time to gain those jumps or tumbling for each person. Some have a mental block while others dont.
Jumps: Herkie and toe touch
Stunts: high and low v, liberty, pyramid
tbh is actually varies thorughout school :)
