how can I launch my Sputnik?
So my friends and I, we built together a system similar to Sputnik inside a metal box, we have pressure and tempature sensors,wired to a microprocessor further connected to a transmitter. It is also powered by some batterys and it also comes witha fan we jury rigged to turn on once the box gets to hot.
But anyway, once we built it we kinda had delayed figuring out how to launch it. We were considering duct taping a bunch of model rockets together and connecting the metal box to that but, yeah, were clueless, the building and programming was the easy part, we just cant get into space.
Any ideas?
The fan is there to cool down the satellite if it reaches high temperatures as detected by a thermostat.

Assume this is a troll. If not, a few questions:
1. You have a transmitter. Do you have a license for it in a service that allows satellite operation? You don't mention command capability, any licensing authority will require you be able to control it, to shut the transmitter off if in malfunctions.
2. You realize a fan won't cool anything in a vacuum, right?
3. There is no way you can launch it, commercial launch services will want at least $5,000 per pound.
4. Unless you have a long lived power source such as solar panels, it will not last long.
5. Have you done all your environmental testing, vibration, thermal vacuum, etc.?
Sounds like a fairy tale to me!

Is the fan there to generate heat? There is no air in space.
I think the best you'll be able to do is get one of those large weather balloons and float it to the edge of space. Actually launching something into space is very hard and you won't be able to do it with things you find at radio shack.

Beat it into cube and launch it as a cubesat for about $15,000 or beat it into a tube and launch it as a tubesat for $8,000.
Fans don't work in space, you'll have to rethink your cooling strategy.
Sputnik had no computers.

You will need a velocity of more than 8.2 kilometer per second.This can not be achieved by a single stage rocket.
You may contact Commercial wing of ISRO and if ready to pay they will do it!
