What is the best way to assemble resin scale models?
I have recently acquired some resin scale models in 1:72 and 1:76 scale.
What is the best method to cut them from the sprues and assemble them?

If you can't snip the parts off with sprue cutters or fingernail clippers, use a razor saw. Be sure to cut back a bit from the part, you can trim and sand the leftover tab flush later. Glue together with a good CA, or super glue. I like Zap a Gap. Make sure you test fit parts first as it's hard to pull them apart. Another important thing to remember with resin is never sand it with dry sandpaper.....the dust is toxic. Use wet/dry sandpaper(3M brand is best) and dip it water to wet-sand. Rinse paper off in bowl of water and repeat.
You also want to clean the parts before painting, maybe even before gluing. I use Comet cleanser and an old toothbrush to scour the mold release off. You'll also want a good primer. I like Tamiya's primer.....A bit pricey but the best out there, won't obscure fine details.
