Why does the Bible teach that divorce is only acceptable when the wife is the one who commits adultery?

What about husbands?

Adultery is apparently just fine for men.

Very simple. That is when one of the partners become completely unfaithful. Until then, they may be a pain in the butt but they are still faithful.

Though, I have always wondered how far does a spouse have to go to be unfaithful. Jesus said if a man looks at a woman with desire he has already committed adultery in his heart. So, is the adultery mentioned for divorce physical or psychological? !!!!!

Divorce is the termination of a marriage through the power of civil or ecclesiastical law. According to the New Testament, God permitted divorce under some conditions because of the hardness of the people’s hearts; however, as Jesus explained, “from the beginning it was not so” (Matt. 19:3–12). The scriptures counsel against divorce generally and advise husbands and wives to love each other in righteousness

It also applies to the husband. It is also written, he who divorces wife except on the ground of adultery, commits adultery.

In the Bible adultery is a capital offense, why would you divorce a dead person? Jesus said a man "can" divorce his wife if he finds out that she was not a virgin when he married her. You must drive out (divorce) an immoral person.

Lol it's for both genders. Sexual sin in the only sin against the body. To people become on on a physical as well as a spiritual level. It's the ultimate betrayal for married couples.
