Renting a Rental Property?
Hi,
I'm wanting to rent a property, completely furnish it, and rent out the rooms. I'm just wondering if there are any hidden laws or issues in doing this that I should know about? I am in Victoria.

Don't know about hidden issues but there are tons of tricks and pitfalls. I'd go so far as to suggest you get a property manager to handle it for the first year, at least, just so they can avoid many of these pitfalls. It will cost you a bit but worth it if yo uare unexperienced. The main issues deal with tenant problems so my advice is to screen your tenants very, very well (even lower the rent to get good tenants if thats needed). Beyond that there are to many issues to even get a start on it.
