HELP with 2 math questions please!!!!!!?

Find the constant of variation for the relation in questions 1-2, and use it to write an equation for the statement. Then solve the equation.

1. If y varies inversely as the square of x, and y=1/2 when x=1, find y when x=9.

2. if y varies directly as x and z, and y=6 when x=9 and z=3, find y when x=7 and z=2.

    1) y (is proportional to) 1/(x^2)

    y= k/x^2

    let y=0.5, x=1

    0.5 = k/1

    k=0.5

    let x=9

    y=(0.5)/9^2

    y=0.5/81 = 1/162

    y (is proportional to) xz

    y=kxz

    6 = 27k

    k=2/9

    let x=7, z=2

    y= (2/9)*14

    y=28/9

    OR

    y= k(x+z)

    let y=6, x=9, z=3

    6=12k

    k=0.5

    let x=7, z=2

    y=0.5*14

    y=7

    I'm not too sure which one you want, but i'm guessing the second. the question isn't very clear
