Why do some of you use the bible as a means of bashing gay marriage, but conveniently ignore other parts of it?
Like how about killing any of the following:
Anyone who doesn't believe a priest : Deuteronomy 17: 12 NLT
Fortunetellers: Leviticus 20: 27 NAB
Sabbath workers: Exodus 31:12-15 NLT
Followers of other religions: Isaiah 14: 21 NAB
and Atheists, like myself: Isaiah 14: 21 NAB
There are many more, but following these divine orders would be a good place to start, but I assume you'd all rather just cherry pick more.
For those of you who would undoubtedly use the BS "Old Testament doesn't count" argument, let's not forget that the entire reason you're a bigot is a good deal because of OT verses... (Lev 18:22 and Lev 20:13)

Through Jesus we are now under the blood and not the law. He changed everything when He came to earth. Homosexuality is also addressed in the New Testament (see Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
But I am sorry for the judgment of some people. It is not our place to judge anyone only Gods. How people live is up to them and God, not me. I am a Christian and I make mistakes just like anyone else. The Bible also says that a sin is a sin so if you are guilty of one you are guilty of all. The Bible tells us not to covet, seek revenge, take the Name of God in vain, divorce for any reason other that sexual immorality, or to remarry. No one is perfect and we are all in need of forgiveness and the Grace of Jesus.
I am not saying that I condone sin, because I don't. I am just saying that I get so sad and angry at Christians (im sure that I am guilty of it as well) judging others when Jesus taught us to behave so differently. When a woman was caught in act of adultery and about to be stoned Jesus told everyone Whoever among you has no sin, let them throw the first stone (im paraphrasing (see John 8:1-11) Jesus was the only one there with no sin and He didn't throw the stone He simply told her to go and sin no more.
My point is that I want to apologize that people have been judgmental it is simply not our place. The Bible tells us what is right and wrong and we should strive to follow it. Jesus taught about love and forgiveness and so many times we don't and I am sorry. We should pray for someone if we think that they are sinning and allow God to be God. He can take care of it and reveal to them if He wants them to live a different way.
So I see where people get so turned off from Jesus because of how some "Christians" live. I look at posts on here of people who seem just plain mean and I want you to know that that is on them. It isn't how Jesus told us to live or to treat others. Jesus is Love, Patience, Forgiveness, Selflessness and Peace. I am sorry if some have given you the wrong impression of a follower of Jesus or even Jesus Himself. If you read the Bible (which from what I can tell from your question you have) you will see that Jesus instructs us to lead a very different life from judging others. I pray that you can see past the hypocrisy of some and see the Love of Jesus.
