Is there still a lot of servers ? I plan on getting it since I want to learn "the fundementals" of sniping .

There are no servers, it uses a matchmaking system. One individual in the game becomes the thing that everyone on the map is connected to, rather than everyone being connected to a server.
This has pros and cons, but yeah, there are no "servers" in COD. So long as people are going on wanting to play, you will always be able to find a match. Just look at COD 4, still about 3,000 people online regularly. I played it just last week.

not servers but ton of players yeah. my cousin and i played not an hour ago just be patient on the matchmaking time :P
