Everything in my head gets loud, fast and harsh?
Does anyone else get this? I can't explain it well, but I have moments, especially when I'm really tired, or in bed where everything is so loud in my head. Whispers can sound like screams, everything seems so fast, every little moment looks exaggerated to me. Does anyone know what this is? I'm 19, but it used to happen a lot more when I was a child. How do I get rid of it? It's annoying and I hate it. Also, I'm not ADHD or anything, so it can't be that.

I have the same problem. It first happened to me when I was a child and had a bad fever from the flu. I had horrible feelings of distortion of space and time, and I had constant dreams that were the same way. Everything in my head felt like it was screaming, and my movements seemed fast and jerky, as did everything else's. Everything seemed really "intense" and it was really distressing.
It happens to me now, very rarely, but minus the hallucinations and visual distortion. Everything feels loud, fast, and intense. It goes away on its own after a few minutes, and I don't think it's dangerous or a health problem. According to the Internet, if could be some kind of minor seizure or a type of vertigo, but I have yet to see an actual medical professional's word on it.
Anyway, it seems like a lot of people experience this, and it doesn't seem dangerous, so don't worry! It's not exactly "normal," but there's nothing wrong with it.
