A way to use earphones as sound and headset for my mic?
Hey so i have a pair of headphones with a built in mic but the sound is broken now. I was wondering if there was a way I could use apple earphones for sound and use the headset just for a mic. Ive looked into it and ive found nothing i have also tried doing it myself and i have no idea.
I am using windows 8 [if that helps]

Yes of course, as long as you have two ports to plug them both in at the same time. Go to the sounds settings (press windows keys, type sounds, click on settings, click on pic with speaker) Set output to be your apple headphones and input to be your headphones (you'll know which one is which because when you talk into your mic, there will a volume that indicates sound is coming in, that will be your headset, the other one the apple heapdhones)
