Whats using my hard drive space?

So, Windows 7 machine. C drive tells me 91GB is being used. I go into C and check the properties of each folder including hidden folders and using my handy dandy calculator only find 73GB.

Where do I find my missing 18GB?

It could be Windows 7 itself that takes up the extra 18GB.

if you allow the computer to show you all hidden files too, you can find the missing 18 gigs

your computer does not show you certain files because they are system files that if you modify or delete without proper knowledge, you can ruin your computer

most likely, your OS and other system software is stored there
