Burning pain in PIP joints of my hands?!?

The PIP joints in both my hands feel like they're burning. It's an off and on pain going from super painful to just "eh".

Anyone have any idea as to what it may be?

Just suddenly happened after a shower. Haven't done anything out of the ordinary that comes to mind.

All fingers hurt aside from my thumbs.

    You might have jammed your fingers?

    Or maybe your finger had a wound and something got into it.

    Try rubbing your finger and squeeze what you can squeeze out of the wound if there is one
