Atheists: Do you think the activities in industrialised countries can cause climate change?
Climate changes that brings about the worst typhoon ever recorded. Or is it all caused by the cruel god called "Nature".

Probably but why are you only addressing atheists? I'm fairly certain that even some of the most dumb theists are concerned about climate change. You have, apparently, slipped through the net.

That the activities of industrialized (and even non-industrialized) nations have caused climate change is a demonstrated fact. There is no longer any such question, it's settled. We're still working on quantifying exactly *how much* they cause, and what is the best thing to do about it, but that it occurs is no longer in question.
Whether the monster typhoon in the Philippines was "brought about" by climate change is an open question. Clearly there have been typhoons/cyclones as long as the earth has been around (and we know why and how they form, no "god" is involved). Whether climate change contributed to the size of the typhoon has not yet been established by evidence, but it's likely. It will take many more years of trends to analyze before that can be determined with any accuracy.
Finally, "nature" is not a "god." It's just the natural results of natural processes. And it's not "cruel," either, since it has no emotions or will.

Yes, though you can't say that any particular typhoon was caused entirely by climate change. Global warming leads to climate instability. Climate is part of nature. I think you're trying to make some kind of distinction that can't exist.

There is no doubt that the increased level of CO2 has increased temperatures in some areas, and an analysis of the specific carbon has identifiable isotopes that show it is a result of burning fossil fuel. What has additional impact is deforestation and rapid changes in the size of lakes. This does lead to localized increases in temperature, which results in weather instability on larger scales.
Havingsaid all that, there is no direct verifiable connection between climate change (local or global) and any one specific storm

Yes. It's almost certain that the weather we are now experiencing cannot be explained solely by natural variation, although it's not possible to say that Typhoon Haiyan was solely or even largely as powerful and destructive as it was because of AGW.

they typhoon is a naturally occuring thing but yes industrialized countries impact global warming but not as much as our climate was going to be impacted already

I doubt it.
The number of storms is actually significantly down. Doesn't actually fit the prediction I know.... This one was actually fourth. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/nov/08/typho...
It just hit land. The top three didn't. Doesn't mean they weren't stronger. And you'll notice there is even debate about it being the strongest to hit land.

We're loading the atmosphere with the greenhouse gas known as Carbon Dioxide. Make of that what you will. But, pay attention to what the climate scientists are telling us.
