What should I do with this dog?
So my brother had gotten this dog a year ago. He never really took care of it, I always fed it and 3 months later he moved. I have called him and constantly tell him to pick up his dog, its been a year and he will not take action. I really dont want him. I want to get rid of him yet I feel it is immoral and I dont feel I should be burdened by this..... No one is going to want him I know.
I dont really feel any attachment to the dog, nor do I care about what my brother says, I just feel bad for the fate of the dog. I feel I should t even have to stress about it, since I didnt bring about this situation, and I wouldnt want anyone in this situation.

Your brother is a real dick. Only a complete douche would take on the responsibility of an animal and just abandon it. Sadly, you clearly have no compassion or attachment to this poor dog who wants nothing but your love and attention and doesn't ask for anything in return. Although I must give you credit for at least feeding it. Do NOT take it to a shelter. Have a little bit of decency and find a rescue group for this poor dog. Maybe that way this sweet dog will actually have a chance at living in a loving and caring home where it deserves. So sad that you and your brother seem to view animals as disposable pieces of trash that you can just get rid of when you don't want to be "burdened" anymore.

How do you know nobody will want him? Pls try to find him a good home. Right now, from what I read, this animals has had 2 owners in his life who didn't want him -- your brother and you. Your rotten brother boogied out on him, and you don't seem to love him, but rather regard him as some sort of duty and an albatross around your neck.
You are right -- it should not be your burden. It should be your JOY. How can you not love the dog? This is your chance to step up and be the man your brother obviously isn't. But if you cannot do it, then find him a good home thru an animal placement agency or a NO KILL shelter. Don't sell him or give him away on Craig's list. Far too often these animals become pitbull bait.

Why would you believe nobody would want the dog? You can take him to a no kill shelter. let your brother know ahead of time. Or keep the dog. Feel any attachment for dog? Just think and do whats best.

some shelters r no kill so that's one idea or like most others r saying take it to a dog rescue. I can't believe u would say no one would want him... that's horrible and like other ppl have said u do seem to view an animal as a piece of trash grow up and give the dog to someone who will and wants to take care of the poor thing
