Who likes their own Italiain cooking?

Yes i prefer my own cooking compared to that of some restaurants ..simply because i can cook it my way ....

I do mainly because I make my own tomato sauce with tomatoes and herbs from my garden. I also make creamy Italian sauces with herbs from my garden and fresh cream and butter from a local farmer. I have recently invested in a pasta machine and now make my own pasta. When my tomatoes are at their peak I make and can tomato sauce for use year round. I have also educated myself on REAL Italian cooking rather than the Americanized versions. Much simpler and much more flavorful.

I love having control over my ingredients. Nothing taste better than fresh.

I tried to mimc a recipe with flattened chicken and a light crispy batter but it failed. I ran to the grocery store and got Mozzarella cheese and a bottle of pasta sauce. It's now my wife's favorite chicken parmesan dish.

Pasta, cheese, sauce, meat - Lots of combinations that are all comfort food.

I make my sauces and pastas from scratch.

I make ravioli from scratch too (my favorite is chicken ravioli with basil and ricotta .. below. But I make my pasta from scratch .. I don't care for this recipe's dough . .just the sauce and filling. And I use a ravioli form).
