Is it ok to shave my forearms?

All my life I've had really thick and dark hair, and I've always gotten picked on about my arm hair... And I'm sick of it. So do you think it would be ok to shave my arms?

You and me both!! Lol my sisters would always call me monkey because how hairy my arms were. They all shaved their arms so I decided to do it myself because I was tired of getting picked on. I feel so much better about myself. The only down side is you have to keep up with the shaving or else your arms will feel prickly. I always shave mine when I take showers. Other than that your arms will feel smooth and hairless :)

It's OKAY to, it won't hurt you physically in any way unless you cut yourself by accident or something, but honestly you really shouldn't. When you start to shave, the hair typically grows back thicker and faster. So the faster it grows back, the more you'll want to shave, then the faster it'll come in the next time. Also it'll be stubbly for a while at first and that will look extremely weird if you're wearing a t'shirt or a tank top. Just imagine someone you like grabbing you arms and then feeling that too. A better idea, if you really can't deal with you arm hair anymore, would be to wax it or to laser it (laser hair removal at a spa, it doesn't completely remove it at first, but the hair grows back lighter and thinner typically). Or you could just grin and bear it, I myself have very hairy arms and as a female I find it utterly disgusting but nobody ever notices it except me. My boyfriend doesnt care at all and said he never even noticed until I pointed it out! In all honestly were far more judgemental of ourselves than anyone else is.

I shave my arms.. but only because I shaved them out of curiosity in 5th grade and there was really no going back.

If you want to.. it's entirely up to you. but you have to keep up with it. I usually do it once every week and I'm good. but if you want to stop, your arm hair will grow back even thicker and darker.

That's just like me! I'm Portuguese and I have ALOT of hair on my arms and people do comment on it but I just say "what do you expect I'm Portuguese" I get embarrassed sometimes but I'm not just going to walk in one day with an arm full of hair and the next with nothing?! You can trim it with those electric razors or even bleach your hair so it's less noticeable.
