Even though I have Yahoo messanger set to invisible status sometimes strangers are able 2 contact me -why/how?
every so often recently , people have attempted to connect with my profile even though it's set to invisible. It seems like it's been reset and some strangers have tried to chat with me, suggestively. How were they able to see my profile? I blocked them after a couple of practically identical exchanges.

Possibly spammers or other undesirables searching random lists. Yyou can set up your ignore list.Click messenger top left in the messenger window scroll down click preferences then scroll and click ignore list. In the next window you will see where to add people to your ignore list or you could check ignore anyone not on my friend's list. then click o.k.
