how does 3pc antivirus work?

You only get 1 key so how does it allow 3 pcs? Does it need to be on the same account or on the same network? Does all 3 pcs have the same amount of time or does it give 365 even if you install a month later on 2nd pc

I have Kaspersky Internet Security installed on 2 computers. I installed it from a disk, and just used the same key on both installations. The server just recognized that the software was for 3 PCs and allowed the second installation. If you are downloading the software, when you download the second or third time, you would use the same key upon installation, and their server would recognize that it is a valid key for 3 installations.

I know that with Kaspersky, all three licenses expire on the same day, so if you installed the software on a second computer a month later, you wouldn't get the full 365 days.

Use the same key in all 3 computers . You can install in whichever computer/network you wish to install in . It won't follow the same amount of time , you can install it whenever you wish .
