The secret to a good Whisky (note the correct spelling) BBQ sauce as go light on the brown sugar and heavy on the whisky. Jack Daniels sauce is WAY too sweet. Add a lemon as well, for that zip.

As to making it? You need ketchup, brown sugar, lemon, vinegar, whisky, onion and whatever else you want to put into it.

I suggest you take a sampling of BBQ recipes online, spend a day in the kitchen and 'experiment'. Everyone who makes it at home makes it differently.

The secret they have is that they will not tell you what whisky they use.

You will just need to experiment with the whiskies you know and like the taste of.

Measure-in the amount you use as it is easier to add a little more.

If you begin with a small amount to begin with and get the taste right, you can scale it up to make bottles of it to store for the future and have your own secret recipe

Well, I guess Jack Daniel's knows about whiskey. Not sure they know BBQ sauce, but this sounds good. I think it needs onion or at least some onion juice (squeeze small bits of onion through the garlic press).
