Do people get staked for baccarat?
I understand baccarat is a house game and it won't be beat but I ask this question because I know there are rich people crazy enough to believe that someone has figured out a pattern to beat the game.
So I am asking is it at all normal or common for someone to appear to be good(or at least convince someone to stake em) at baccarat and get staked?

Most rich people didn't become rich or remain rich by lighting their money on fire (ie, staking people in baccarat). They can manage their money a little better than that.
And if you know baccarat can't be beat but still want to convince someone to stake you, then are you anything more than a common scammer?
