How do I stop my dog from attacking the windsheild whenever I put the wipers on?

Whenever I put on the wipers when it starts to rain, My 3 year old adopted male neutered Old English Sheepdog attacks the windsheild violently and aggressively with incessant barking.

Needless to say this causes alot of anxiety and stress to all who are inside the vehicle, and poses a safety hazard to driving.

I have since strapped him to a safety harness so he cannot lunge, but he continuously barks and gets stressed out when the wipers are operating.

How do I cure this anxiety/aggressive conditioning?

maybe put him in a crate while you travel in the car and work on the dog's obedience training ... any owner should be able to tell their dog no and have the dog actually listen ...

Aggressive conditioning my a$$. It's simply the result of not teaching your dog what "no" means. Sign him up for an obedience class and watch your relationship improve dramatically.

Put him in the boot and have it restrained, it's a car trip, he doesn't need to be in the front seat. Would you want a dog flying through the windscreen if the car crashed?

He should not be in the front seat in any circumstances. He ought to be in the back of the car, and you also need a dog guard.

Ummm, leave him at home and don't take him in the car when it's raining.

    No noise, no muzzle.

    Manage your brute.
