If running a prostitution racket under a famous banner is legal, then could rape be social crime or not?
Means is complaint from the victim is NECESSARY and can the employer of the brothel REFUSE to co-operate with police and should mutual compromise settle the cases outside court ?
Ref :- 1.An actress removed the complaint against a director after 10 years. All is quiet. Meanwhile she was destroyed and he continues to get awards for movies on the themes of same nature.
2. Shame chutdhary says herself 92% rape cases go unrecorded ( I agree) and provides own example subject to law but not herself to law..
Note :- Question was posted as above exactly with above details in law section only to gather that Indian lawyers in Yahoo Law section are such big dumb lot that they can only reply how to get divorce and how not to let sister have her property rights.
Politics section is very active - I expect at least some rebuke for spelling the names " correctly".... some asking what the question means and some advising me to check up with prosses and rapists. At least one asking where do I get pains - in the front or in the rear .

Rape is a social crime however I must agree with certain people , and rebuke certain claims. its true that even a prostitute cannot be raped legally however her claim is all about money, unless the perpetrator does use violence. Rape is only a crime as long as its brutal or done after drugging the victim, so we expect the victim to fight back and thus produce some violance from the opressor, its rare to be raped by co-ertion. In case of a **** actor or any celebrity the line is more blurry since they themselfs create certain situations . now in no way rape is justified in any case but at times its hard to tell whether were dealing with rape or something else thought any forced sexual act qualifies as rape

rape is still rape.
Despite what indians think, rape is a crime not just a matter for a monetary settlement.
Even a "legal" prostitute can not legally be raped, as no agreement was made to begin with.
By your "logic" burglarizing a home or robbing a store would just be a civil case as well.
