If I wanted to get a Chromebook could I use Interent Explorer?

I want to get someone a HP Pavilion Chromebook but they can't use chrome for their work only internet explorer, can you still use internet explorer with a chromebook?

    No. Hence the name Chromebook & the fact it is running Chrome OS which is essentially Google Chrome. No Internet Explorer.

    A chromebook is based upon the Chrome browser and does not run Internet Explorer.
