Reading the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis causes me to ask this question?
Christians, are you aware that our minds are occupied by two distinct forces during our lifetime, that of evil and of good - the author of evil being Satan and the Author of Salvation and good being God the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. Goodness comes from learning what the Bible says about the right and wrong way to live our lives on earth while Satan uses every trick in the book to deter you from reading the New Testament because frankly it shows you the way to be saved.
While C.S. Lewis was a spiritual, discerning Christian, which is obvious from his writings, and highly esteemed in the Church proper, why do some channels of the Christian Church avoid the mention of demons or Satan while preaching a watered down Gospel and emphasizing - "Not in our Church"?

Because it's not very relevant in our everyday lives. In fact, a lot (A LOT) of people think "good" and "evil" are concepts embedded in humans.
If you found "The Screwtape Letters" to be good, I highly suggest you read the similar "Mister B Gone" by Clive Barker.

Are you familiar with the epistles of Paul, John and James? We are told that many will be misled by false teachers. Your question epitomizes this point. Where Satan is not spoken of and the gospel is watered down only emphasizes my point ... people don't have to be accountable for their sins.

That's absolutely correct. If it's written down and a bunch of people believe in it, it must be true.
Right?
