Weighing it down is just about the only option I'm afraid. It can take a very long time depending on how waterlogged the wood was to start with. Don't you have any farmers' fields near your place? There are always huge piles of rocks near farms where the land was dug out. You can find plenty of perfect rocks, if not decorative, for weighing your wood down. Look for rocks that don't have any flecks of color in them. Solid grey should be safe. Alternatively, there must be a river around you somewhere. As long as there's no industry dumping waste river rocks are about as safe as you could ask for.

what's the hurry? even if you'll boil it overnight,it still wont get water logged fast enough.plus it's goin to be costly boiling it.no short cuts to it mate. i could tell you to just immerse it in your tank and weigh it down with rocks and wait for a month or two,but then again you only got 25 hours. you aren't that patient i'm afraid.
