If I had to guess I would say overcompensating for his left knee made his right knee go out. But he still looked like he had his burst to the rim, he just forgot how to finish when he got there.

They're not, he just over-trained which is a big risk with modern training methods, to comeback from injury, and overdo it, on the off-leg.
They should really allow a little more reserves for the players, so things stay a little more natural.
Modern training methods tend to forget that HUMANS aren't 'factory-standard' so you can't standardize training-schedules.
