What is happening in Gibraltar is stupid. Anyway, they are not British waters, but DISPUTED. Gibraltar is an ugly tiny rock. Why would they move there?

Gibralter is firmly attached to Spain and most sensible Britons want an end of this nonsense and it's very easy to do. Either share the rock of Gib with Spain or simply hand it over. I mean, what's it about Gibraltar that get's some people so hot under the collar? Time to grow up.

The other thing - what's so special about being British? Even if Gibraltar were to be handed back to Spain, I'm sure a deal could be cut which would allow the people of Gibraltar to keep their British Citizenship which in any event becomes less and less important with each passing year as more of us simply want the greater value of being European Citizens with all the value which goes with that.

Look at it like this. Moi and partner had to queue up for nearly an hour at Gatwick just to get back into our own country. A fellow trveller from France said Goobye to us and marched through the EU Citizens gate while waving his French ID which hardly anyone even bothered to look at.

Because it is more cheap to live in Spain and the life in Gibraltar is very limited.

Gibraltar is very small and it means that housing prices are high and often of a low standard.

Cultural assets are also much greater in Spain than it can be on a small cliff.

I got stuck in Spain when The Evil Gordon Brown devalued the pound against the Euro. This means that the value of my home here in Spain fell by 30 percent. And this was before the Spanish housing bubble burst!

The fact is that there are many more Brits in Spain than 800,000. That is the number of those who are legally registered Spanish residents - many just do not bother to register.

As for Gibraltar, it is a tiny place, and is overbooked as it is.. The nearby towns of La Linea and Algerciras are amongst the most unpleasant, financially and culturally impoverished towns in Spain. I would never live there.

I will express my loyalty by voting fascist at the next, spanish , EU elections and watch the facist vote in my town rise by 100 percent!
