My car is on its last leg.?

I drive a 2000 Nissan Xterra (13 year old) car. I recently took my vehicle to the shop because it was driving strange. For example, it refused to drive, when I push on the gas the car struggles to move forward. The shop advise me to take it to a transmission shop which I did, and I was told that my transmission is on its last leg. They told me that it would cost me at least $1300 to get the transmission fix with labor combine. Most other places charge even more like Tire plus and Tuffy. I don't want to invest that much money on a almost 14 years old car, so do you have any ideas on what to do. Excuse all my grammar errors for English is not my first language. Do you think I can still trade it in if so give me some suggestions in Orlando, FL. Do you think I should sell the parts? I'm confused on what to do. This is my only form of transportation and I work two jobs and attend classes twice a week. Any suggestions?

If you do not want to spend the money to fix it, then you can trade it in. (you will get nothing for it, but you will be rid of it), You can sell it as is (you will get next to nothing, but it will eventually be gone), or you can sell it 1 part at a time. (you can make a fair amount of money, but it will take time and some parts will just never sell.)

You could replace the transmission with a used unit instead of rebuilding it.

Check out this web site they list the parts you need and decide if that is for you.

    it is www.car-part.com
