1986 KTM bike, how to figure out what model it is?
My son made a swap for this bike that is for use on the farm. I don't know if it has ever been on the road. Where do I find the serial number and the engine number. It's rough and needs servicing.

Checked the engine casing? Both sides? Possibly on the clutch housing, on the bottom part of it. There's also the frame number usually located under head stock. Top of forks, in-front of fuel tank.

The Vin number will be on the steering head just below the bars on the right side. Once you have that you can call a KTM dealer and they can run the vin for you.
