is it me or has yahoo answers become a place for people to find someone to do their homework?

I think so.

But I don't necessarily see it as a problem. It's not overtaking Yahoo Answers, not to mention that this site is a place to ask questions, and if people don't want to do the work on their hw then they have every right to ask.

And it's not like answering will really help them in the long run. Eventually they'll have to learn a lesson about doing your own work.

I totally agree with you. After i read this i looked up a few simple questions based on maths and other subjects and there were so many results on Yahoo that my jaw literally dropped.

If they ask they'll never learn, so what's the point?

A couple weeks ago someone had a great response and I wish I could remember his name. He said:

Tell me what you think the answer is and I'll tell you if you're right.

Yes people try but most of the people who are rated on high won't help with homework.If you notice they usually get no help or they get bull answers.

Especially in this forum, yes.

Continue asking them not to - "use step-wise refinement"; "which part are you having an issue with"; "show us what you already have", etc.
