How can I get in the Christmas spirit?

Go to a homeless shelter or some other charity place and donate. That always gets me in a holiday spirit of giving. I think it's the location that does it, giving over the internet doesn't feel the same.

Edit: Let me tell you a true story. My grandmother lives in a different town from us the town where she was born while I live in my country's capital. She has a friend who always bakes us cookies. Me and my siblings have never seen her but we've been eating her cookies our entire lives. That is amazing in of itself. But when, earlier this year, she randomly heard from my grandmother that my little sister was going to be graduating high-school she got up in the middle of the night to bake cookies for her that my grandma then took with her to the celebration. All without expectation of any reward. There are some amazing people out there.

I think it's way too early to think about Christmas. You can take your time and wait until seing the snow fall makes you change your mind.

No matter what we see in the stores, and on TV, an in newspapers, and in our mail boxes, and on the road...

Embrace your inner Grinch. I have young children in the house and I still hate Christmas.
