If I give you the answer you will not know the comparison for a different amount.
This is what you need to know to work out the answer.
1 litre = 35 fluid oz.
1 UK pint = 20 fl.oz.
1 UK gallon = 8pts.
Therefore 1 gallon = 8 X 20 = 160/35 = 4.57lt.

Why can't you find it? I literally typed into Google your exact question,
"How many litres in a British gallon?"
At the very top, it gave me this:
1 imperial gallon = 4.54609 Liter
Easy.
