My pc boots from external usb dvd drive but wont boot off usb flash drive?
I have a lg gp50nb40 external dvd drive. I can boot from it with win7 cd, so my computer is capable of usb boot. When i create a bootable installation usb on a transcend usb 2.0 8gb (system ports are also 2.0), it just its there with a cursor blinking on screen. But boot from ext dvd is pretty fast. Btw, i marked efsboot in boot folder as boot image.

Hey Dear,Change Boot sequence of Ur BIOS setup & it will solve Ur problem

If you want to boot from USB flash drive , You have to Set Boot preference.
-On Start up of your PC, Press key for Boot Option,mentioned on start up ( it may be either F2 or Delete depending on your system )
- Select USB flash drive under Boot option as first preference.
Then Try again.
