How good is the University of Arkon?

The fact that you really don't know much about the university tells you something. If you were talking about Harvard or the University of California at Berkeley, you wouldn't need to ask about the standards or how well known the school is, right? Your best bet is to visit the university website and do a little investigating on your own. Compare the admissions requirements at the University of Akron with those of other schools you are more familiar with. How does it stack up against several state colleges or state universities? What does the description of the college in its catalog (you'll probably find an online version of the catalog at the university website) tell you about how it compares with other schools? What do the academic programs look like? And how well prepared are the faculty? (The faculty credentials are usually also in the university catalog.) A stranger on "Answers" cannot really give you any worthwhile information. Students who went there will all have opinions about the school, but those students' ideas and needs might not match yours. Others who did not attend it, but might have heard of it, really cannot give you information based on statistics or careful evaluation. They're just spouting what they've "heard" about the school, and that kind of rumor and unsupported hearsay is useless. Check out the catalog online, and look into sources which can give you trustworthy feedback.
