Most of those people would have been Christians and Christians had no problem with slavery, so why would they care if a black man was put in a cage? Evolution describes the evolution of species. Scientists have observed this happening. Some species developing new traits enabling them to thrive while other species die off.

Seriously, I don't understand why religious folks have a problem with this. Evolution doesn't address how life began, only how it develops afterward.

Second evolution is not racist, what you're saying is that genetics are racist which doesn't make any sense.
