Word problem/ fraction help please! 10 points?
"Jessica needs to memorize words on a vocabulary list for Russian class.She has memorized 30 words, which is three- fifths of the list. How many words are on the list?"
I don't quite understand or know how to figure out this problem. Any help would be great! thanks!

Let there be 5X words
3/5 = 3X
3X = 30
5X = 50 words ANSWER
CHECK
3/5 X 50 = 30 words

Let x=the total number of words that Jessica has to memorize.
She knows 3/5 of them which is 30
so x*(3/5)=30 : multiply both sides by 5/3
x=50

Divide 30 by three which is 10 so that's one fifth so 5 fifths or a whole would be 50
