Soy wax lotion bars are too soft?
I made lotion bars with 1 part soy wax, 1 part olive oil, and 1 part coconut oil. These hardened well in the fridge, but then when they got to room temperature they turned into something more of a body butter instead of a bar of lotion.
So, what I am looking for is a good ratio to make the bars solid.
-soy wax
-coconut oil
-maybe olive or sunflower oil
-essential oil
Thank you!

you need a higher content of the soy wax
coconut oil is very very soft at room temp
your essential oil wont make any difference to consistency
and olive oil will also add to a softer result
you used 2 parts of the softer ingredients
up the soy wax by half of what you added
if you used 1 cup of each, add an extra half cup of soy wax
personally i would add cocoa or shea butter to give a nicer lotion bar
what you have will work but its basic and not very luxurious, i would also add vitamin E oil as well
if you dont want to buy a bottle, buy a packet of capsules and break some open into your bars after melting, and before pouring
but allow your mis to cool or you will destroy the properties, ditto with your essential oils
