Transition from JavaScript to C++ difficulty?

I'm not the best at programming, but I'm not too bad at JavaScript, since I use it all the time. I have never taken a course in C++, but am hoping to sign up for it at my local college. Being that I have knowledge with JavaScript will my transition be easy or difficult? I want to be able to expand my programming knowledge instead of just websites.

A lot of the syntax will be similar and assuming you understand how the DOM works, transitioning to C++ shouldn't be too difficult. Just understand that C++ is more strict than Javascript and you should be fine. Check out this site that another Yahoo Answers questioner posted that's from their coursework. The professor posts solutions to the homework assignments which I found surprising. On the other hand, viewing working examples is often how some people learn the best.
