Did the GOP invite the Tea/Baggers into the c0nservative side of politics...?

You've heard of stories about unwanted relatives who one day unexpectedly showed up for dinner and then decided to stay for good - right? That's what these Tea Baggers are like. They hijacked the Republican Party and is now weilding an enormous amount of influence within the Republican Party and party leadership like McConnel and Boehner are too scared to kick these idiots out because half of their constituency back in their home districts are as idiotic and crazy as these tea-baggers. So to answer your question, the GOP sort of tried to used these idiots for their polical purpose but got hijacked along the way LOL :)

There is some confusion here. Your so called "Tea/Baggers" are the legitimate Conservatives following , for the most part, the traditional Republican party. The lukewarm Republicans, usually called "RINOs", Republican In Name Only, infest the government now.

The same thing happened to the Democrats in about 1968 or so, and continuing on today. One might say that the Democrats like President Truman and President John F. Kennedy were abandoned and today we have "Animal House" Liberals infesting our government. Thinking people know that the current Animal House liberals flirt with Marxism, and like drugs.

The Tea Party believes in Constitutional government of law, freedom of the individual, less government, and more States Rights.

I am old, and was around then to vote for Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, and Carter. Johnson and Carter made me want to change parties. Truman and JFK Democrats were patriots. Since that time the Democrats have turned up the sleaze factor and are intolerable. The so-called "Progressives" are warmed over Marxists with a smiley face. But the worst thing about them is that they believe in clusters, or group-think, behavior. That is a return to tribalism, and that is "Regressive".

The Tea Parties kicked in the front door. The reason why is due to the frustration average Conservatives, Independents and even some Liberals at first, had with the Republican Party's lack of fiscal responsibility. The addition of $5 trillion in debt and the mortgage meltdown under Bush was due to a LACK of Conservatism, not because of it. The Tea Parties are here to drag the Republican Party, kicking and screaming, back to it's Conservative principles.

Those who support the Taxed Enough Already point of view don't need an invitation.

The GOP does not get to decide what people think and who they should vote for.
