Shaving after waxing?

Yesterday I got my legs professionally waxed for the first time for a special occasion coming up. There are many stray hairs left over (too many to tweeze). I know they say "we do not ever recommend shaving between appointments" but what is wrong with it? Is it something about your skin or just them keeping business?

If you wax instead of shaving, your hair will, over time, go away. Shaving causes hair to return quicker, thicker, and darker than the hair was before. So you'll be in for more pain if you want to wax after shaving. Also, when you shave, you often shave in different directions, just to get a couple of hairs off. So when your hair grows back, it'll grow in different directions. And when you wax, you must wax in the direction the hair is going. If your hair is going in all directions, its going to be pretty hard to wax it.

So first off I would go in and complain and demand for either a refund or the next session is free. Second there is a reason, that area that has been waxed is not "traumatized" and will stay that way for a couple says, the skin is very sensitive and can have an adverse reaction if you shave. Second, AFTER going in and complaining and if they say they can't do anything, make them if its been more than 4 days. They can unless there is a specific reason such as a skin condition preventing them from doing so. Anyways, hope this helps!
