Trying to replace a valve under the sink...?
The valve under my bathroom sink was leaking. I have CPVC pipes. I have ALLCOR push/pull type valves. I'm trying to take the existing valve off by twisting counter clockwise and pulling. I can't get it off, but while pulling, something popped behind the wall. Does anyone have any experience with this happening. What are the possibilities of me breaking the CPVC pipe behind the wall or could it be that the pipe came unattached from something? If the only choice is getting behind the wall, how do I do it and how do I replace it? Thanks much!

I doubt that you broke the pipe inside the wall. It probably just made a noise when it shifted or it could have broke loose from the clamp that attached the pipe to the wood wall stud. When you turn the water back on then just look around at the a base of the wall and see if you notice any water leaking. Also listen closely. You would hear any water running or dripping inside the wall. Do not open up the wall unless you know there is a leak.
