Do you keep Josh McCown or roll with J. Cutler?

Which player would you stick with for the Bears? Personally I would go with McCown to finish the season because Cutler at this point can re-injure himself.... Plus, Josh is having a promising season

Thoughts?

That's a tough one. Its not as easy as Green Bay and Rogers were they know he is their QB of the future.

While this season is lost and playing Jay won't help this year, Jay is a free agent next year and the Bears need to decide how to handle his free agency. Do they tag him and have a cap hit off around 17 - 18 million next year when they need to make upgrades on defense. Or do they give Jay a long term contact that's only only like 6 million on the cap for next season and use the extra 11 - 12 million to sign defensive players. Or do they let him walk and sign somewhere else.

So if I was the Bears I would play Jay so he gets more time in this offense and they can make a proper decision.

Send Cutler down the road. McCown has outplayed him!

Actually, it depends on his work ethic during every offseason. If Josh McCown works hard and performs very well in practice every day, he will greatly improve his chances of becoming a successful, top notch starting NFL quarterback for the Chicago Bears in the future.

McCown has outplayed Cutler this season. It's not his fault the Bears defense has struggled because of injuries. Let him prove that he's better than Cutler, sign Cutler to a modest contract and then trade his lame @ss to some sucker for help on defense.

Then draft a QB and let him learn the ropes from McCown. If you let Cutler teach him all he'll learn to do it pout and quit on his team.

I would say cutler but josh is playing well, and I'm pretty sure they don't plan on bringing cutler back next year. He's a mediocre QB he'll go to a mediocre team and have a mediocre career

McCown. He's a stand up guy, Cutler will let you down right when you need him the most.

This is a stupid question. Of course you go with Cutler. Unless he wins them games he's staying a back up.

  • Who cares. The Bears Suck.
