Why does she get jealous if other girls try it with me?

I'm just close FRIENDS with this girl I know and she hates the idea of other girls trying it with me and I'm not sure why, we're not going out or anything..but I can just tell she doesn't like it, I don't fully understand though, yes she's overprotective maybe because I've known her for many years, and yes she said she's going to co ck block me when it comes to clubs etc

Any idea why when we're not even going out?

    She wants you to herself until she finds someone else, or until you guys start dating. Other girls are competition, and might take you away from her.
