Why does a person cut down another person that's only 2 years younger?

Just because they're younger? I don't get it

    It makes them like they have power, also it makes them feel strong and that they can control people.

    Its all about being powerful and feeling superior over another person,the person might be going through/have gone through the same ordeal and now they try to deal with it by carrying on the cycle upon someone else to consolidate themselves
