About mother-in-laws, how would you deal with a toxic enabled woman?
I have a mother-in-law who is very toxic. She has been enabled by her entire family for over 45 years so her toxic level is very high.
Her oldest son is my husband and I do not want to be a toxic wife in order to get things going in ways that is best for me or others but is against what she wants.
Any advice?

Make sure your husband is happy in his marriage. Cut yourself off from his mother - emotionally. Just ignore what she has to say or do. It isn't important in your life or your family's life. You will have to attend functions and visits, etc but you do not have to put up with that nonsense. Ignore it. Move away from it. Pretend it;s a fly or a wasp. Just brush it away. Nothing you can do will please her, so why bother trying?
