Fundamentalist Christians: any idea how many sins you have already committed?

Can you list them? Do you think you are eligible to go to heaven as a result?

Update:

the fox: okay, so about the heaven thing then...:) holier than thou?

Update 2:

Sophie: what makes you so sure? You are more likely to be the one who isn't through pride and denial.

Update 3:

So we can do anything we like so long as we apologise to Jesus and God afterward? What about being gay? Rape? Surely same rules apply?

No one gets to heaven by the count of sins or good deeds. Salvation is by accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour given by the grace of God. If no Lordship, no salvation. Meaning you start living a new life created in you by God`s Spirit.

The quantity of sins is irrelevant when it comes to eligibility of entering heaven. It only takes one to fall short if God's glory and Jesus' blood will cover an unlimited number of them. The only sin it will not cover is not trusting Jesus as Lord and Savior.

    To numerous to count.

I am saved by the grace of God alone, in Jesus Christ alone, by faith alone. [Ephesians 2:8-9] Jesus paid the penalty of my sins. Yes, I am going to home to Heaven, not because I have not sinned, but because I have bought back from my bondage to sin through the blood of Jesus Christ.

God gets all of the credit and all of the glory, not me.

  • Couldn't possibly list my sins too many plus I have no need to remember them as I have been forgiven for them all and God chooses to remember them not more.

One is supposed to learn from one's behaviour and make changes as appropriate not dwell on it for no purpose.

So yes I will be going to heave as Jesus is my advocate that is if I continue to follow Him and seek His will and not my own

You can't count sin. It's immeasurable. Sin is sin. You should worry about your sin. Since, I trust God, and I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I am saved.

(1 John 1:8) If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.…

That would be between God and me and none of your business. You should worry about your own sins.
