What forces can slow down an isotope collapse/breakdown?
Can gravity influence the speed of breakdown of an isotope? If not, can anything else slow the collapse down, ie a containment field of some kind?
1 AnswerPhysics6 years agoReligious people: If I insult your gods, why does that upset you specifically?
After all, I am not attacking you personally, just the idea that your god may be worthless, pointless, stupid and fake, and not unique. So why do YOU get upset? Cannot your gods defend themselves? They must be pretty powerless if they rely on you to do their work for them.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians: do you believe the bible is the perfect word of God?
If not, then who decides what is relevant and what is not? What gives them that authority? Would you be willing to stone people to death? If not, why not? What about the other Gospels which have been omitted from the bible? Why believe one version of the bible above another? Which version/translation is correct?
Please leave Jesus out of it, he comes later, and even he says he is not here to change any of God's requirements, so is irrelevant to this question. thanks.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIsn't God really just Nature?
Okay a few impressionable people are trying to claim natural phenomena as evidence of a sky daddy, but shouldn't you all just accept everything as a natural process, occurring through time, without the need to assign ownership to a mythological being in a book?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians: If total faith in God's will, why do you bother looking when crossing the road?
Surely, if it is God's will whether you live or die, you just need to trust Him totally and walk straight ahead? Let me know how your experimenting goes. No peeking!
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians: are you being disrespectful to doctors when you thank God for saving your loved ones?
Do you actually take time out to thank the people responsible for doing it? Or do you default to God automatically?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians: If religion is a subjective experience, why should non-beleivers have to comply?
Why should we follow your version/translation/interpretation of your holy books because YOU chose to emotionally invest in them? No biblical quotes please, unless to support your point.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoBible says prayer can do anything, no denying it. Will you pray for a world cancer cure?
If not, why not? Why would you deny people the chance to live a cancer free life and the chance to prove the worth of God/Jesus' words? Bible says it is possible and achievable. If you refuse, you are not a true believer, and are cherry picking to suit yourself.
If you do all pray and the cure doesn't come, then God/Jesus are lying/imperfect/non existent, or your faith is weak. This question is aimed at Christian fundamentalist/evangelists.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoAre people who give money to TV Evangelists gullible?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians: How does your subjective belief about God differ from subjective belief in say, Santa or fairies?
Do you see how atheists or rational people would have problems differentiating between you and the fairy believers?
Please give backup or references for your explanation if possible.
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians: Are the people you look up to - up to the job?
There are many reports about the pastors of your churches struggling with their duties. Here is some reading material you may find enlightening.

The statistics on "moral failures" are staggering. Your thoughts on why this is? :)
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoFundamentalist Christians: any idea how many sins you have already committed?
Can you list them? Do you think you are eligible to go to heaven as a result?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoI am an atheist. Anyone up for some flirty fishing? :)?
Some religious people will stoop to any depths of depravity in the name of their God. Christians - how depraved are you when it comes to God? Whats the worst thing you would do in His name? How low would you go to get His approval?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristian pastors who stopped believing - Can you explain why?
I am interested why you stopped believing, to hear your stories so others may follow your example and bravery.
Non-pastors need not answer, thanks.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoDoes The Lord God use magic?
Is God magical? Things he does are like magic. If not, show me how you arrive at your conclusion.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoCreationists: Noah's Ark question?
If there were supposedly around 50, 000 animals on Noah's ark (according to ChristianAnswers.net), where did the other million plus types of animal come from? Evolution? or magic? Show how you arrived at your conclusions.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristian Fundamentalists: If God asked you to kill someone for being gay - would you?
And how could you be sure it really is God asking you to do that, and not just some random 'conscience' voice in your head?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhy can't Christians stop answering questions aimed at atheists? :)?
Is it a selfish need to score points? Do they fear we will convert everyone into unbelievers? Is it ignorance, or inability to read?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians only: Do you believe the Bible should be followed to the letter? Y/N?
Knowing that any slight transgression could impede your passage to Heaven? eg tattoos, sex outside of marriage, etc. If not, why not?
